Notes Souvenir paper fan, collected by 12-3915 Lt S Bongard, WW1 paper fan; painted with flowers and flags of Allies- France, UK, USA, - , Belgium and Italy 12-3915 Lieut. Stanley Bongard served with the Auckland Infantry Battalion. He left New Zealand with the 10th Reinforcements on 4 March 1916. A record of his service is recorded on a souvenir ticket (1995.66.2) Left Wellington 4-3-16. Albany 14-3-16. Colombo 26 and 27-3-16. Moascar 4-4-16. (Record sandstorm 13-4-16). 1st leave in Cairo 15-4-1916. Moved to Tel-el-Keba (Tel-el-Kebir) 19-4-16. Alexandria 27-5-16. Marseilles 30-5-16. Etaples 4-6-16. Armentieres 22-6-16-. Campagne 16-8-16.
