The present lot is from the series of works by Klavdy Lebedev dedicated to Dmitry the Impostor I (1582–1606), also known as Pseudo-Demetrius I, False Dmitry I or Dmitry Samozvanets.

Provenance: Private collection, Europe. Authenticity of the work has been confirmed by the expert V. Petrov.

Exhibited: Premiera Kollektsii III, Gallery “New Hermitage”, Moscow, 22 June–29 July 2005.
