These trains are almost continuously leaving one or another ofthese stations for Newport or Providence, New^ Bedford or Boston,New York or the West, and the distance is so rapidly and com-fortably covered that Fall River seems the centre from which allplaces radiate. THE FALL RIVER LINE. The famous *Fall River Line, originally organized as TheBay State Steamboat Company, to ply between Fall River andNew York City, was a success from its inception and has grown inreputation and popularity as Pall River has grown. Its freightand passenger travel have always been particularly heavy andFall River citizens have always manifested an especial pride andinterest in its success. Conceived in a Fall River mind, started by Fall River capital,supported in infancy by Fall River trade and travel, it grew and^ 50 f^^l^
