The accompanying info: The first side has 34 lines with the city's (Chiang Mai) birth-chart, specifying the time and date of its foundation. The second side has 36 lines specifying the names of persons and their wives and children who made donations to Wat Chiang Man. Evidence confirming that the foundation date of Chiang Mai city was April 19, 1296, 8th day of the waxing moon, the Visakha month, year of the monkey. Carved on red sandstone, on display in Chiang Mai's Lanna folklife museum. |
