Description
English: The picture shows one sample of many fake coins, that are being sold for decades in Indian Market. Three coin collectors and historian confirmed that the East India Company never made such coins. All versions of these coins have a following format. In the central part of the face of the coin is written UK on the top and ONE ANNA below. Around the periphery is written EAST INDIA COMPANY and a year. On the reverse face is a picture depicting one of the Indian God, Goddess or a group of Gods and Goddesses. It is made up of a yellow metal which looks like brass, bronze or sometimes copper. It is being sold for few hundred rupees to a few thousands of rupees.
