Summary

[edit]
Description Failed deck joints are a common problem with cold Vermont winters. The new bridge design would have no joints that can fall into disrepair and leak as part of the FHWA, Highways for LIFE project with Vtrans to replace the a functionally obsolete two lane rural bridge using innovative technology for a highly durable, integral abutment bridge, a bare high performance concrete (HPC) deck reinforced with solid stainless steel, and topped with a curbless, deck rail system.
