The area affected north ofthe jetty was found to be about equivalent to that at the south side.At the outer limit, or that part next to the channel, which embracedan area of about 1,700 acres, a scouring away of 13,000,000 cubicyards took place. The area next to the jetty at the north embraced1,500 acres, over which a deposit of 12,000,000 cubic yards tookplace.
