Français : Commerce ambulant. Vendeur de rue ou colporteur en haillons, appuyé sur un bâton, transportant sur son dos, dans un grand récipent cylindrique, du noir de fumée, utilisée entre autres pour la fabrication du cirage.
Deutsch: Ambulanter Handel. Strassenverkäufer oder Hausierer in Lumpen, auf einen Stock gestützt, auf seinem Rücken in einem grossen zylindrischen Behälter Kienruß transportierend, der unter anderem zur Herstellung von Schuhwichse diente.
