English: Viewed from the side, as in an aquarium, fishes appear much more beautiful under water than when seen from above. These are but a few of thousands of Big-Eyes (Apogon norfolcensis) which foregather in coral pools at Lord Howe Island. Though ordinarily regarded as pests, these were studies with intense interest by fishermen who discovered in them unsuspected charms revealed by this unfamiliar aspect
