Description
English: Murray Rose and Simon Wooton of Chargus Hang Gliders, Gawcott, Buckingham, England had fitted a McCullock engine unit under the keel of a Midas E hang glider. The engine revved to over 6000rpm and therefore they had to keep the direct drive propeller a relatively small 24 inch diameter. They did very well with it , even doing a air display at Shoreham Sussex England, but the programme seemed to fizzle out According to Wings Magazine in the July 1977 edition " they were awaiting a decision from the the CAA in order to carry on with development" Micro-lighting the early years by Gerry Breen
