Description A U.S. Navy North American FJ-3M Fury (BuNo 141441) from Fighter Squadron VF-111 Sundowners. VF-111 was assigned to Air Task Group 4 (ATG-4) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bennington (CVA-20) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 21 August 1958 to 12 January 1959. VF-111 was disestablished after the end of the deployment on 19 January, but Attack Squadron VA-156 Iron Tigers took over designation and nickname on 20 January 1959. Note that the FJ-3M wears the ATG-4 tail code "ND" on the tail and the ATG-1 tail code "NA" on the wing.
