- Recess printing: plate type I (used 1963, 1974-76): wide white limiting circle around the value number circle; flower rosette over nominal circle little filled with color lines; the "O" and "U" at "Soumi" are separated by a full white line
- Recess printing: plate type II (used 1967,1968, 1972,1974): small white limiting circle around the value number circle; flower rosette over nominal circle more filled with color lines; the "O" and "U" at "Soumi" are separated by a broken white line
- Offset printing: used 1972/1974 (only applied at nominal value 0,05 Markkaa, blue violet)
To the most of these print variants exist the paper varieties:
- - variant x: normal paper (issued 1963/1968)
- - variant y: luminescent paper (issued 1974/1975)
Sometimes is used the term "phosphorescence" in the catalogues for the luminous effect at these stamps. However, without to explain nearer these phenomena, be mentioned:
- "luminescense" = generic term for the entire phemonenon (differenced according to his origins)
- "fluorescence" = light emitting without temporary retardation
- "phosphorescence" = light emitting with visible temporary retardation
The luminescent stamps show in the UV light weaker (white) luminescence on the printing side, light violet on the back.
Sometimes is differenced still additionally according to color shades.
