Sergeant First Class Fields is a native of New York and was born November 15, 1975. Sergeant First Class Fields entered the Army on January 28, 1998. He completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia; where he was awarded the MOS 92G, Food Service Specialist. Sergeant First Class Fields previous assignments include: First Cook, 32d Signal Battalion, Kelly Casserne, Darmstadt, Germany; Shift Leader / Rations NCOIC, Commanding Generals Mess, 2d Infantry Division, Camp Red Cloud, Korea; Battalion S3 Operations NCO, Special Troops Battalion, Third Army, Fort McPherson, GA; Battalion S3 Operations NCOIC, CFLCC, Special Troops Battalion, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; Drill Sergeant, Echo Company, 2d Battalion, 47th Infantry Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia. SFC Fields has deployed in support of OIF II and III numerous times with the Special Troops Battalion, Third Army (CFLCC), Camp Doha and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait and Task Force Hawk (Tirana Albania) with 32d Signal Battalion in 1999. His military schools include Warrior Leaders Course; Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course; Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course; Equal Opportunity Representatives Course; Mobile Retention Training Course; Combat Lifesavers Course; Field Sanitation Course; Total Army Instructor Training Course; Sniper Employment Leaders Course; Modern Army Combatives Course (Level I); Drill Sergeant Course; Basic Airborne Course and The Air Assault Course. His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal(1OLC); Army Achievement Medal (6th OLC); Army Good Conduct Medal (3rd Award); National Defense Service Medal; Kosovo Campaign Medal (1 Bronze Service Star); Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Korean Defense Service Medal; Noncommissioned Officer Development Ribbon (Numeral 3); Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Ribbon (2nd Award); North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal (Kosovo); Drill Sergeant Identification Badge; Drivers Badge; Air Assault Badge and Basic Parachutist Badge. Sergeant First Class Fields is currently pursuing a Bachelors degree from Saint Leo University. |
