It is a Fire Department Connection (FDC), which allows firefighters to pump water from a fire engine into the building's water suppression system. This can supplement the municipality's water pressure when fire sprinkers are activated, as well as supply a building's standpipe system. Sulphur Springs Public Library, Sulphur Springs, TX. |
