English: Trinidad and Tobago Fire Department Search and Rescue personnel prepares to move a victim during a simulated collapsed 3-story building were 15 people were trapped. This scenario was developed to test the capabilities of the Fire Department Firefighters and Search and Rescue personnel during FA HUM 2011. Fuerzas Aliadas Humanitarias 2011 is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored multinational exercise that is concentrated on improving how civilian, government and military agencies from the United States, the Caribbean and Central America respond to natural disasters in the region. During the exercise, personnel from U.S. Army South will train with regional partners to enhance the participants knowledge, skills, and capabilities to respond together during a natural or man-made disaster. The exercise, scheduled for April 4 - 15, is being held in Trinidad & Tobago. Participating countries include Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Montserrat, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos, and the United Kingdom. U.S. personnel include, U.S. Army South, the U.S. Embassy, U.S. Southern Command, 12th Air Force and the Delaware National Guard. |
