English: A U.S. Navy McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron 34 (VFA-34) takes off from the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) in the South China Sea on 12 April 2017. VFA-34 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 2 (CVW-2) aboard the Carl Vinson for a deployment to the Western Pacific in 2017. The aircraft was also the personal aircraft of the Commander, Air Group (CAG) of CVW-2. |
