Description
Nederlands: Dinsdag 10 maart Na ruim 2 weken varen, legt Zr.Ms. De Ruyter aan in de haven van Dubai. Eerst worden 27 zakken met post van thuis aan boord gebracht. In de longroom (het ontspanningsverblijf van de officieren, red.) help ik met sorteren. Dankbaar worden stapels met pakjes, sommigen door kinderen versierd met glitters en stickers, naar de slaaphutten gebracht. Daarna is het tijd om voedsel te laden. De bemanning vormt een trein van loopbrug naar keuken om pakketten fruit, groente, yoghurt en frietjes klaar te zetten voor de komende weken.
