Description A McDonnell F-4J-34-MC Phantom II (BuNo 155768) from Fighter Squadron VF-143 Pukin´ Dogs launching from the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVAN-65). VF-143 was assigned to Carrier Wir Wing 14 (CVW-14) aboard the Enterprise for a deployment to Vietnam from 12 September 1972 to 12 June 1973. The F-4J 155768 was shot down by flak while pulling off a target 20 km northwest of Quang Tri, Vietnam on 27 January 1973. The crew, Cdr. Harley H. Hall and LCdr. P.A. Kientzler, was taken prisoner.
