Description

A U.S. Navy McDonnell F-4B-16-MC Phantom II (BuNo 151408) of Fighter Squadron 143 (VF-143) "Pukin´ Dogs" firing 12.7 cm (5 in) "Zuni"-rockets during an exercise in 1964. VF-143 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 14 (CVW-14) aboard the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CVA-64) from 5 May 1964 to 1 February 1965. Aircraft of CVW-14 were among the first to fly strikes in the Vietnam War on 5 August 1964.

The F-4B 151408 was later lost in an accident off California (USA) on 22 April 1967.
