English: A U.S. Navy McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet from Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 113 "Stingers" makes an arrested recovery on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) as the ship conducts flight operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility supporting "Operation Inherent Resolve". VFA-113 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 17 (CVW-17) aboard the Carl Vinson for a deployment to the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean starting 22 August 2014. |
