Description A U.S. Navy Grumman F-14A Tomcat from fighter squadron VF-41 Black Aces just after landing on the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68) on 1 August 1981. A LTV A-7E Corsair II from attack squadron VA-86 Sidewinders is visible in the left foreground. All aircraft were assigned to Carrier Air Wing 8 (CVW-8).
