Description
English: Mr. Fred Whitehead, a contractor at the 414th Combat Training Squadron (Red Flag), prepares to launch a Royal Australian Air Force F-111C during a Red Flag exercise at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., on Mar 11. Mr. Whitehead was invited by the RAAF Red Flag team to launch this F-111, tail number 113, which he worked on as a crew chief in 1978. This F-111 also flew the last official combat mission of the war in Southeast Asia in 1973.
