Description Three Republic F-105D Thunderchief fighters in the early 1960s. Visible are F-105D-6-RE (S/N 59-1770), F-105D-5-RE (S/N 59-1750) and F-105D-6-RE (S/N 60-0409). Aircraft 59-1750 was shot down by ground fire o 14 December 1967 during the Vietnam War (Loss Coordinates: 203400 N, 1060700 E) while being assigned to the 469th TFS, 388th TFW at Korat RTAFB. The pilot Major James Sehorn was captured and repatriated in 1973.
