Summary
[edit]DescriptionFülöp bishop of Hajdudorog with Soldiers of Christ.jpg |
English: The procession after the ordainment of Fülöp (Philip), Greek Catholic bishop of Hajdúdorog, Hungary. After the ceremony the new bishop visited the secondary school of the Saint Basil Educational Center.
The young men dressed in black uniform and holding swords are the so-called Soldiers of Christ. The traditional unit usually has a protocol role: they keep the way free in front of the bishop. Usually the Soldiers of Christ appear during the Easter celebrations in the Greek Catholic traditions. The members of the unit are local unmarried men who take this role voluntarily since it is great honor.
A fekete egyenruhában, karddal a menet élén látható férfiakat Krisztuskatonáknak nevezi a hagyomány. A katonák közé helyi, nőtlen fiúk jelentkezhetnek önkéntes alapon. Krisztuskatonának lenni nagy megtiszteltetés. |
