Summary
[edit]DescriptionEyton Hall and park - geograph.org.uk - 1289418.jpg |
English: Eyton Hall and park Looking north from the public footpath across parkland containing many mature trees. This 17th-century planned landscape (unusual for a relatively minor property) was improved in the 18th century, when an ornamental garden was laid out, and in the 19th century, when the park was formed with a serpentine drive. Richard Weaver Evans moved here in about 1870 from Old Eyton Hall (a mile to the west) to this building, then named Eyton Lodge. He rebuilt the house and renamed it Eyton Hall in 1879. |
