Autistic art comparing eye contact to staring at the eye of Sauron

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Researchers have discovered that eye contact may not only be distracting to autistic people, but overwhelming or even frightening. This piece of autistic art compares it to looking at the eye of Sauron from Lord of the Rings. This finding calls into the question the common practice (such as in ABA therapy) of expecting autistic children to make eye contact.
