| Description | Extensive enclosure for the bears in the bear rescue centre at Kuang Sinear LP in Laos. A far, far bigger improvement than the tiny cages some of these animals had been stuffed into at the time of rescue. The centre is supported by Free The Bears Fund Inc. (an Australian charity) and does not charge a separate entrance fee to visit the bears, though you do have to pay a small fee to enter the area to see the falls. None of the entry ticket money goes to the bear centre though- the centre relies entirely on donations and sale of gifts and souvenir t-shirts for their funding. (Luang Prabang, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014) |
