Qanun, instrument à cordes pincées

L'exposition Al Musiqa est dédiée aux musiques arabes, elle célèbre à la fois la richesse d’un patrimoine ancien méconnu et l’intense créativité d’artistes issus des vingt-deux pays qui forment aujourd’hui le monde arabe. Commissaire : Véronique Rieffel

Elle est organisée en espaces consacrés aux thèmes suivants : Poésie du désert (période préislamique, Péninsule arabique) Islam et musique (VIIè siècle, Péninsule arabique) La musique de cour (fin du VIIè au XVè siècle, de Damas à Cordoue) Les musiques mystiques (les pays arabes d'Afrique) L'Égypte, mère du monde (XIXè et XXè siècle) Les musiques de l'Exil (XXè siècle, du Maghreb à Barbès) Arabia Remix (les musiques arabes d'aujourd'hui)
