English: Exit from Treforest Estate railway station
The exit leads to steps down to a subway passing under the line on the right, emerging in Willowford Road. The 200-metre long island platform receives trains heading north on the left, south on the right. The next station north (or more exactly, NW) is Treforest, nearly 4 km away. The next station in the opposite direction, also about 4 km away, is Taffs Well. The station was opened in 1942 by the Great Western Railway to serve workers in Treforest Industrial Estate. It is now part of the Arriva Trains Wales Merthyr Line and Rhondda Line. Only about 1 in 3 of the trains stop at this station. There is no Sunday service. The only road access to the station is via Willowford Road. There are no parking facilities. |
