Description
English: A Belgian Paratrooper landing on a dropzone at Goersbeek, near Arnhem surrounded by parachutes from other nations.

More than 1000 paratroopers from eight different countries took part in Exercise FALCON LEAP 19 in The Netherlands.

Troops from the UK's 16 Air Assault Brigade joined Polish, American, Dutch, French, Italian, German and South African Paratroopers to train and jump with other nations canopies.

The exercise serves to increase interoperability between nations through the shared jump experience, allowing for instance, British Paratroopers to jump from Dutch Aircraft with Dutch Canopies and vice versa.

The conclusion of the exercise was marked by mass drops onto Ginkel Heath to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Operation MARKET GARDEN. Once on the ground again the Paratroopers received their Wings from the other nations to say they can jump with that equipment.

The exercise is organised by 11 Air Assault Brigade from the Royal Netherlands Army, the Dutch equivalent of the British Army's 16 Air Assault Brigade.
