Description
English: This is an excerpt of the report prepared by the President's Special Review Board (aka "w:Tower Commission"), and part of a message sent by w:Oliver North to w:John Poindexter using the PROF system (North PROF note to Poindexter, 9/08/86, 19:08:10; The Professional Office System (PROF) was an interoffice mail system run through an IBM main frame computer and managed by the White House Communications Agency for the NSC). It indicated that the CIA was behind transmitting an eleven-minute speech by Reza Pahlavi on the Iranian national television in 1986. While CIA involvement was already public knowledge thanks to a report by w:Bob Woodward (Source), this was an official acknowledgement. "Sam" in this document is CIA Iran expert w:George W. Cave (Source).
