(Wilpert/Gühring² 9) Das radierte Frontispiz stammt von Johann Wilhelm Meil (1733 - 1805), Lit.: THIEME-BECKER XXIV,341. Der Dichter Ewald Christian von Kleist (geb. 07.03.1715) fiel als preußischer Offizier im Siebenjährigen Krieg (Schlacht bei Kunersdorf am 12.08.1759). Er ist der Adressat der von LESSING verfassten "Briefe, die neueste Litteratur betreffend" (1759 - 65, 23 Tle.) und das Vorbild für die Figur des Tellheim in "Minna von Barnhelm" (Quelle: Brockhaus 21. Auf. (2006), Bd. 15, S. 146). |
