| Description |
Norsk bokmål: I/S Evje nikkelverk blei i 1872 plassert inn i et eldgammalt kulturlandskap. Etter kvart blei nikkelverket et industrielt kulturminne med sterke røter i Haugerørsla. Haugianerene
begynte med papirindustri, møllebruk og sagbruk på vestsida av fossen i 1803, og nye tilhengerer holdt fram på østsida en del år seinere. I Fossvik kom bygdas første butikk og møllebruk. Jens Nottoson Bjorå hadde den første sirkelsag i kommunen på Bjorå med dobbelt sagblad og tyngdevasshjul i Rosselandsbekken. Han solgte hele anlegget i Fossvik til F.A. Henriksen og nikkelverket med fallrettene i Fennefossen for 5000 daler. I 1872 blei dette anlegget bygd opp, og slik blei det stående til dette bilde blei tatt av August Abrahamson kring 1904.
