Buvette Cachat. Edifiée à l’emplacement du premier établissement thermal, la buvette de la source Cachat (ancienne fontaine Sainte-Catherine) fut achevée en 1903. Le maître d’œuvre Jean Albert Hébrard fut également l’architecte de l’hôtel Royal et du Casino. Ce pavillon de bois et de verre est couvert d’une coupole à tuiles vernissées ajourée de grands vitraux semi-circulaires à motifs végétaux. Avenue des Sources,le bâtiment s’ouvre sur une terrasse plantée de platanes. Cet édifice, considéré comme un chef d’œuvre de l’architecture thermale est, à Evian, le plus représentatif de l’Art nouveau. Buvette Cachat. Built on the site of the first thermal establishment, the bar of the Cachat Spring (old fountain Sainte-Catherine) was finished in 1903. The supervisor Jean Albert Hébrard was also the architect of the Royal Hotel and Casino. The pavilion of wood and glass is covered with a perforated dome glazed tiles large semi-circular windows plant motifs. Avenue des Sources, the building opens onto a terrace planted with plane trees. The building, considered a masterpiece of architecture is thermal in Evian, the most representative of Art Nouveau. |
