ENDERSON'S
DELICATA SQUASH
A Perfect All Season Squash Summer and Winter Crop on
One Plant Produces Fifteen to Twenty Fruits to
A Vine Delicious Chestnut Flavor
Delicata produces an enormous number of fruits
of such convenient size that the entire Squash can
be used at one time.
It is ready almost as soon as the early sum-
mer sorts, is better flavored, and remains in per-
fect condition as long as any keeping variety.
Its flavor when cooked has been compared
to the Sweet Potato, others liken it to roasted
chestnuts, but all agree that it is delicious. The fruits
are about 9 inches long, and when ripe, are deep yellow
irregularly striped and marbled with dark olive green.
The flesh is thick, of fine texture, and pale yellow in color. It is
unexcelled for baking — the shape and size make it perfect for this purpose
and none is better for pies. When
Diled it is dry, granular and mealy.

This tag is designed for use where there may be a need to assert that any enhancements (eg brightness, contrast, colour-matching, sharpening) are in themselves insufficiently creative to generate a new copyright. It can be used where it is unknown whether any enhancements have been made, as well as when the enhancements are clear but insufficient. For known raw unenhanced scans you can use an appropriate {{PD-old}} tag instead. For usage, see Commons:When to use the PD-scan tag.

Note: This tag applies to scans and photocopies only. For photographs of public domain originals taken from afar, {{PD-Art}} may be applicable. See Commons:When to use the PD-Art tag.
