Description |
English: Bothell, Washington, was founded on the timber industry. George Brackett was the first to log in the area. George and John Bothell continued the operations and ran a lumber and shingle mill in Bothell until 1892. Other logging companies apparently worked in the Bothell area as well. This photographic postcard, probably made around 1918, shows an Everett Logging Company log train near Bothell. Written on verso: Message: Dear Lars - Well, I left Aken today - he went to Silvana so I watched my chance - don't know yet how it will go - I left a letter for him on the table. Original photographic print (postcard): Waters, V.S., ca. 1918. Copied in 1998 by the Museum of History and Industry.
