Evening light from Phalut, India, ca. 1920
Tinted lantern slide showing a view across snowy mountains from Phalut (or Falut), the second highest peak in what is now West Bengal, India. Phalut is part of the Singalila range in the Himalayas on the border of India and Nepal. This slide comes from a collection created by missionaries from Regions Beyond Missionary Union, an interdenominational Protestant evangelical mission working in northeast India (Bihar and Orissa) and Nepal.
