Summary

[edit]
Description

This still image from HD video comes from the westbound platform at Euston Square station, looking east

To the immediate right is the route to the platform entrance / exit.

Built by the Metropolitan Railway this station dates from when the line first opened in 1863. In those days it was named Gower Street.

The very old tiles at this end of the station which have the orange and black borders at the top and bottom were installed by the Metropolitan Railway in the 1930's.

In spring 2018 the tiling was replaced with the (then) corporate 'Victorian era bathroom' plain white tiles.
