Summary
[edit]DescriptionEustace de Vesci - Magna Carta Maquettes at Westgate Canterbury (7).jpg |
As of 2021, in the basement of the Westgate in Canterbury, Kent, England, were nine 19th-century six-foot plaster maquettes of lords who signed Magna Carta in 1215 AD. There were two more in the museum upstairs. Showing Eustace de Vesci by A.H. Ritchie. This maquette was severely damaged in a flood. It has lost its feet and stand, and lies on the floor. |
