Summary

[edit]
Description San Francisco Muni 737 on Embarcadero operating between Fisherman's Wharf and the Ferry Terminal. This streetcar was built in 1952 for Brussels, Belgium, as car 7037, and it is displaying a Brussels route number and destination ("92 Esplanade") in this photo. It was renumbered from 7037 to 737 when it arrived in San Francisco and was repainted in the paint scheme of Zürich, Switzerland (a sister city of San Francisco), but this type of streetcar never operated in Zürich.
