Indem er es ansah und die Schrift nicht lesen konnte, rief er den Kirchner, welcher eben vorüberging, und bat ihn, dass er ihm die Schrift lese. Da sprach der Kirchner: "Das bedeutet so viel, als: Hier ist Eulenspiegel gewesen."
