Description: Tabular eudialyte ~ ¾ mm on edge. Found July 1996. MOB coll. “Blushing” pink eudialyte with “ratty” yofortierite. The yofortierite is not much to look at, but note that its “base” is a very smooth contact and makes a right angle implying that it perhaps an epimorph on a long gone precursor. The cavity/cast itself has been filled by the eudialyte. This is from a rather weathered cavity. Had the eudialyte not been somewhat leached, it would probably be “shocking” pink – which (among many other colors) is common at STA.

Beschreibung: Tafelförmiger Eudialyt ~ ¾ mm am Rand. Gefunden Juli 1996. MOB Sammlung. „Errötender“ rosafarbener Eudialyt mit „ratty“ Yofortierit. Der Yofortierit ist nicht viel anzusehen, aber beachten Sie, dass seine „Basis“ ein sehr glatter Kontakt ist und einen rechten Winkel bildet, was darauf hindeutet, dass er vielleicht ein Epimorph auf einem längst vergangenen Vorläufer ist. Der Hohlraum/Abguss selbst wurde mit Eudialyt gefüllt. Dies ist aus einer ziemlich verwitterten Höhle. Wäre der Eudialyt nicht etwas ausgelaugt worden, wäre er wahrscheinlich „shocking“ pink – was (neben vielen anderen Farben) bei STA üblich ist.
