Description

Native, warm-season, annual (rarely biennial), erect herb to 50 cm tall. The basal rosette of leaves soon withers. Leaves have a distinct midvein; the upper surface is green and hairless to slightly cobwebby, while the lower surface is white or green and covered in dense, matted hairs. Found in many habitats; most commonly scattered in disturbed, moister areas, in full sun to partial

shade.
