Samme man ställer Sve-denborgs stora verk Principia rerum nuturalium vid sidan afNewtons naturfilosofiska principer och tillägger, att den svenskesiarens system skulle, under en skicklig analytikers hand, blif-vit lika fruktbart för fysiken, som den store engelsmannensgravitationslära blef för astronomien? En annan låter förstå att Buffon, Lavoisier och andraberömda naturforskare begagnat Svedenborgs upptäckter, utankällans namngifvande, och att, såsom en fransysk vetenskaps-man yttrat, vissa lärde afrådt från läsningen af Sveden-borgs verk, på det allmänheten ej måtte skönja, i huru storskuld de stodo till honom, och att de frukta anblicken afdenna vetenskapens polstjerna, som skulle fördunkla dem alla.
