[edit]Deer Killed, 2 in Car Hurt. Bridgewater, New Jersey. A deer started across Mountain Avenue last night, but never reached the other side. It was struck and killed by a car which then went out of control and collided with a telephone pole, injuring two persons. The car was driven by Miss Genevieve Lentzsch, 24, of 326 N. Gaston Avenue, Somerville. She told State Police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer. She was proceeding south on Mountain Avenue, at a point about five miles north of Route 22. Mrs. Ethel Lentzsch, of Washington Valley Road, Martinsville, a passenger, and the driver were taken to Somerset Hospital, Somerville, by the Warren Township First Aid Squad. Mrs. Ethel Lentzsch suffered a possible fracture of the right elbow and right ribs and abrasions of the left knee while Miss Genevieve Lentzsch suffered a laceration of the lip and chin, possible fracture of the nose and right thumb and contusions of the left leg. They were treated and released.
