Description
English: Estudo de figuras humanas para a tela "Cortes Constituintes de 1821" de Veloso Salgado. As três personagens são: José Joaquim Rodrigues de Bastos (o do meio, representado a meio corpo, está sentado numa cadeira de espaldar forrado de tecido vermelho, de frente para o espectador, voltado a três quartos para a direita e olhando para a esquerda, veste casaco castanho, tem o cotovelo direito assente sobre a mesa, apoia o queixo na mão correspondente e tem a mão oposta sobre um volume de papel), Francisco António de Almeida Morais Pessanha (à esquerda, representado também a meio corpo, está de pé, com os braços cruzados, de frente para o espectador, voltado a três quartos para a esquerda e veste casaco cinzento), e Tibúrcio Joaquim Barreto Feio (à direita, o terceiro homem está igualmente de pé e representado a meio corpo, de frente para o espectador, voltado a três quartos para a esquerda, veste casaco cinzento). Assinado e datado no canto inferior direito: "V. Salgado, 1920".
