English: Study of human figures for the painting "The Constituent Courts of 1821", by Veloso Salgado. The depicted character is Hermano José Braamcamp de Almeida Castelo Branco (an adult man, with greying hair and shaven face, sitting on an armchair upholstered in red velour with golden fixtures on its arms, with his backed turned to the viewer, turned three-quarters to the right, looking ahead, with his right arm outstretched and his right hand on a book, wearing a gray coat and white trousers).
