Español: Estatua dedicada a Alonso III de Fonseca (1475-1534), Arzobispo de Santiago. Fue un gran impulsor de la Universidad compostelana y fundador, en 1526, del Colegio de Santiago Alfeo, hoy Colegio de Fonseca, en cuyo hermoso claustro se haya ubicado el monumento. Es obra del escultor gallego Ramón Conde Bermúdez, y fue instalada en 1995, con motivo del quinto centenario de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.
Statue of Fonseca Statue dedicated to Alonso III de Fonseca (1475-1534), Archbishop of Santiago. It was a great promoter of the Compostela University and founder, in 1526, of the Santiago Alfeo College, today College of Fonseca, in whose beautiful cloister it's located the monument. It is the work of Galician sculptor Ramón Conde Bermudez, and was installed in 1995 to mark the fifth centenary of the University of Santiago de Compostela. |
