Description
Español: ESTACIÓN ASTRONÓMICA AUSTRAL "FELIX AGUILAR" O "DE LA LEONA".

Inaugurada el 10.11.1960 donde se ubicaba un Círculo Meridiano, entidad que dependía del Observatorio de La Plata.

Se encuentra a 100,6 kilómetros desde la ciudad de El Calafate y a 5,5 kilómetros desde el Parador La Leona (Ruta Nacional N° 40), al llegar transitar unos 670 metros por un camino de ripio desde la ruta.

Abandonada en la década del 70. En su momento el observatorio más austral del planeta.

Altitud media del observatorioː 287 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
