Description Estação Ferroviária de Catanduva/SP. Em 1912, a linha-tronco de bitola métrica foi concluída, chegando em São José do Rio Preto. Nesta época a linha passava pela Vila Adolfo (antigo nome de Catanduva e distrito de Rio Preto) Em 1917, o nome foi alterado para Catanduva, quando da criação do município. O prédio atual foi inaugurado em 15 de maio de 1948, em 10 de setembro de 1955, passou o último trem na bitola métrica, sendo substituída naquela noite pela bitola larga com 1.6 mt.
